Designed under the lead of legendary Mercedes-Benz designer Bruno Sacco, the R170 SLK was introduced at the Turin Motor Show in 1997 appearing as a modern incarnation of the 1950s Mercedes-Benz 190SL adding four-seasons comfort thanks to its metal-folding Vario-Roof.
Originally the 1998 model year utilized only a supercharged inline-4 power. 2001 brought updates to the SLK line including the addition of the V6-powered SLK320. Additional updates included a revised interior, and the new 6-cylinder version came standard with a telescoping steering column, power-adjustable front seats, and wood trim.

The example we are offering is a 1-owner, dry-climate southern California since new, unmodified, finished in black with the cabin upholstered in two-tone black and siam leather with eucalyptus wood trim and thrill to drive with the top up or down!
The crankshaft rear main oil seal was replaced, and oil and filter changed, on November 14, 2023.
The car comes with a clean title, and is CarFax-certified with no mileage discrepancy in this SLK's past. Please note one minor damage was reported to Carfax in 2020. Minor damage is usually cosmetic, including dents or scratches to the vehicle body. Third party inspections are welcome.
