The third-generation M3 made its debut for the 2000 model year as the quickest and most powerful evolution of the E46 3 Series. Offered as a coupe and as a convertible, it received a high-revving straight-6 engine, suspension improvements, and a muscular-looking exterior design. Production ended in 2006.
Power comes from a 3.2-liter straight-6, rated at 333 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
