This highly optioned S63 AMG is finished in black over black leather and powered by a 6.2-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The original MSRP of this S63 totaled $155,365 when new, including $17,365 in optional equipment.
The cabin is upholstered in black leather with high-gloss Dark Brown Burr Walnut veneer accenting the dash, door panels and center console that showcase an IWC Schaffhausen clock and a Bang & Olufsen sound system (a $6,400 option in 2011), Designo Alcantara headliner, an electric rear sunshade, rear side window blinds, and climatized and heated front seats.
The 6.2-liter M156 V8 was factory rated at 518 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque when new. The P30 AMG Performance Package adds a limited-slip differential, a carbon fiber engine cover, and raises the top speed limiter to 186 mph.
Equipment includes both the AMG performance and styling packages, which adds a revised front bumper cover and aerodynamic side skirt. Other exterior details include chrome window trim, a panoramic sunroof, bi-xenon headlights with cornering illumination, fog lights, tinted glass, and quad-exhaust outlets with polished tips.
Additional amenities includes: Active Lane Keeping Assist, Distronic Plus adaptive cruise control with stop and go, Parktronic, Keyless-Go and COMAND with navigation.
A leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel sits ahead of a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer.
Mercedes-Benz introduced the "W221"-generation S-Class for the 2007 model year, and it positioned the S63 AMG near the top of the range. Built for discerning millionaires, the S63 offered an immensely powerful engine, remarkably sharp handling considering its size, and all of the luxury features buyers expected from a car with the Mercedes-Benz star on the hood. W221 production ended in 2013.
